OS X Guide
When several people in my group at work were switching to Mac OS X, I started to write notes for them (I had been using it for around two years at that point). Through a process of accretion, these bits of text grew into larger chunks, then into a few files, and soon I had a slew of little HTML files with a bunch of images tossed in for good measure.
As you might guess, this eventually turned into a big mess.
At the same time, a number of people I knew outside the company were switching to OS X. These people weren’t able to get to my collection of documents because it was on a company server protected by a password system.
So, I decided to sit down and turn the thing into a cohesive whole. The result is this PDF book. It’s aimed at anyone new to OS X who might welcome some pointers on how to be more productive and comfortable. I include a chapter each for people who are coming from Windows or from Unix-like environments.
